HEY, I’M MELISSA

I know what it's like to face challenges that seem unbeatable. I was born profoundly deaf so speaking didn't come easy for me. It took me nearly 20 years of speech therapy and determination to get where I am today. Never once did I give up even if I felt like it, I pushed myself to be heard, to speak in both the deaf and hearing world, and to make my mark.

At 18, I joined the gym to help overcome the struggles I was facing mentally due to my deafness. I learned that strength isn't just physical, it's mental, emotional and spiritual and the gym became my escape. Life has thrown more curveballs my way, a separation, becoming a single mum of 2 kids and the decision to get a cochlear implant at 40. Adjusting to my implant was overwhelming as I was hearing so many new sounds. I kept going, one step at a time, one sound at a time.

Now I hear things I never knew existed, the waves crashing at the beach,  birds singing and wind coming through the trees. These sounds remind me not to give up, and in embracing every struggle as an opportunity to grow. I'm not just a coach, I’m here to help you discover that same strength within yourself. Let me walk with you, guide you, and show you that you can reclaim your power. Your strength is there, waiting to be uncovered. Let’s find it together.
